Email History: See Every Email We Send for Your Store

A new Email History page under Settings shows every email sent to your subscribers and to you, when it went out, and whether it was delivered to our email provider.

Details

There's a new Email History page under Settings. It lists every email Ongoing sends on your behalf: welcome emails, upcoming renewal reminders, payment failed notices, payment method expiring warnings, subscriber portal sign-in links, and the alerts we send to you.

Each email shows the exact date and time it went out in your time zone, who it went to, and its status. Sent means our email provider accepted it. Failed means the provider couldn't take it; those are retried automatically for 24 hours. Not sent means we deliberately held it back, and we tell you why, for example because the address bounced before or your subscriptions were frozen.

Click View on any email to see exactly what your customer received, including the subject, the message, the reason a payment was declined, and the link they were given.

What merchants can now do

  • See every email sent to your subscribers and to you in one place
  • Search by email address or subject to find a customer's emails in seconds
  • Filter by status, email type, who it was sent to, and date range
  • See the exact date and time each email went out, in your time zone
  • Open any email to read what the customer was sent and when
  • Understand why an email wasn't sent, in plain language

Why this matters

"I never got an email" is one of the most common things subscribers tell merchants, and until now the only way to check was to contact our support team and wait. Email History answers it on the spot: you can see whether the email went out, when, and what it said.

It also puts you in control of your subscriber communication. If a customer's payment fails, you can confirm they were told and show them exactly when.
